Netmon, Inc. is re-introducing the Netmon appliance.
After the release of Netmon Software Edition, the original Netmon appliance was discontinued in favour of a software-only model. After some time we have found that although the Software Edition fills the needs of many customers, there was a real demand for the return of the turn-key appliance.
The updated Netmon appliance includes a 64-bit, dual-core processor, and 2GB of RAM. Along with the underlying technology improvements since Netmon 4.6 (the current version when we last sold appliances), the new Netmon appliance can handle more traffic and more devices than the old Netmon Pro. The new appliance is so capable in fact, that there is no need to re-introduce the “Netmon Enterprise” appliance.
The Netmon appliance support contract includes a complete hardware warranty, unlimited telephone support, along with access to patches and software updates. When you purchase a Netmon appliance, the first year’s support contract is included in the purchase price.
Netmon will continue to sell Netmon SE alongside the appliance for customers who wish to supply their own hardware.
