Netmon 5.0
Netmon Inc. is proud to announce the upcoming release of version 5.0. This new release includes some new major features including a Topology Mapper, Netflow traffic Emitter, Improved Sniffer performance and new SNMP device dashboards. Topology Mapper Netflow Emitter This new feature will be a tremendous bonus for customers with distributed Wide Area network environments. With this new apability, customers will be able to install a Netmon Sniffer (this still requires a dedicated server) at each location which will sniff and analyze the network traffic at each location. That data will then be sent in near real-time via Netflow packets back to the central instance of the core Netmon located at the main location. This will allow customers to be able to view both SNMP and network traffic across all locations from within the visual network explorer. This allows a network administrator with the abilities to troubelshoot network performance problems at remote locations across their Enterprise. Typical competetive Netflow products only show the traffic analysis details of what is passing through the remote site routers. With this new functionality, customers will be able to see ALL of the traffic at the remote location included traffic staying on that local network. New SNMP Dashboards New Device Dashboards to support Cisco and HP Switches, as well as Cisco Wireless access points . In addition there are updated Exchange and SQL dashboards to support the new versions of those applications.
